The High Trail Vanoise® is set in one of the world’s most famous ski resorts, Val d’Isère, France, a location for twenty years close to the heart of skyrunning which hosts the Face de Bellevarde Vertical Kilometer® the same weekend.
The race travels through the Haute Tarentaise and Maurienne Valley, touching the renowned Col de Iseran at 2,764m and summiting the Grande Motte glacier, 3,653m. It is 70 km long with a gruelling 5,400m vertical climb.
