IT’S BACK TO VALL DE BOI FOR THE 2022 GARMIN EPIC TRAIL 42KM

The Skyrunner® World Series makes its first stop in Spain for the sixth race of the 2022 season. This Saturday, 2nd of July, elite skyrunners from around the world will gather in Barruera, Vall de Boí for the appropriately named, “Garmin Epic Trail” – 42km of the best skyrunning in the Pyrenees.

The race will be broadcasted live in Spanish and English so fans worldwide can tune in to watch their favourite skyrunners tackle the spectacular 42 km course and get a glimpse of the beautiful and classic skyrunning location.

Athletes who will be battling it out for points towards the 2022 overall ranking and ten SkyMasters qualifying positions include a host of strong Spanish skyrunning men including Ander Inarra (team Merrell); Asier Larruzea and Abel Ernesto (team Inov8). They will be up against a strong international opposition featuring Raul Butaci of Romania (team Merrell / Grifone), Weston Hill of New Zealand (team Scott Running), Omi Ryunosuke of Japan (team Adidas Terrex) and Andre Jonsson of Sweden (team Merrell).

In the women’s field, Spain’s Virginia Perez (team BOA Fit System), Sandra Sevillano (team Millet) and Oihana Azkorbebeitia (team Merrell) will go head-to-head with Georgia Tindley of the UK (team Merrell) and Ariadna Fenes of Andorra.
