Inthanon Skyrace takes athletes into the mountain landscapes of Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai province, northern Thailand.
The course covers approximately 32 km with 2,500 metres of ascent, combining demanding climbs with technical mountain trails. Set around Thailand’s highest mountain, the race offers a distinctive setting of tropical forest, steep terrain and sweeping mountain views.
Inthanon’s challenge comes from the amount of climbing packed into its relatively short distance. Steep ascents and rugged trails demand controlled pacing, strong legs and confident footwork.
The surrounding national park is home to Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest peak at 2,565 metres. Dense forest and mountain scenery give the event a different character from the exposed alpine courses found elsewhere in the Series.
