The Series

The global championship for elite mountain running

About the Skyrunner World Series

Launched in 2004, the Skyrunner® World Series represents the highest level of skyrunning. The series is defined by altitude, technical terrain and uncompromising courses that test skill, endurance and bravery.

Each race in the Skyrunner World Series takes place in spectacular mountain locations across the globe. Courses typically range between 20 and 30 km, with significant elevation gain, combining runnable trail with sharp ridgelines, steep rocky descents and high-altitude climbs.

From the Andes to the Alps and beyond, only the world’s best SkyRaces are selected. The series attracts the fastest and most fearless mountain runners, all striving to be crowned Skyrunner World Series champion.

The Skyrunner® World Series is owned and operated by Skyman AG.
