Pirin Ultra Skyrace takes athletes deep into the Pirin Mountains surrounding Bansko in southwestern Bulgaria, crossing the dramatic terrain of Pirin National Park.
The World Series course covered approximately 66 km with 4,400 metres of ascent, combining sustained climbs, rocky mountain trails and long technical descents. The race takes place within the UNESCO-listed national park, creating a remote and demanding setting for mountain running.

Bansko is around 150 km from Sofia, with regular bus connections available from the capital. Most international visitors arriving by air can continue from Sofia by road, transfer or public transport.
