Sky Pirineu takes athletes into the spectacular mountains surrounding Bagà in Catalonia, crossing the high trails of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
The World Series course covered approximately 36 km with 2,600 metres of ascent, combining steep climbs, technical descents and exposed mountain terrain. The route climbed to Niu de l’Àliga at 2,510 metres, creating a demanding journey through some of the most impressive landscapes of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Sky Pirineu packs a significant amount of elevation into a relatively short mountain race, requiring runners to climb strongly while maintaining enough strength for fast and technical descents.
The route passes Niu de l’Àliga, Penyes Altes and the rugged Empedrats section, combining high mountain terrain with forest trails and rocky paths through Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
Changing terrain and sustained elevation gain require careful pacing, confident footwork and concentration throughout the race.

Plan your journey around Bagà, a mountain town in the Berguedà region of Catalonia and a major base for the Ultra Pirineu events. Current races continue to use Bagà as an important start, finish and race operations location.
Most international visitors can travel through Barcelona before continuing north towards Bagà by road or public transport.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)
Bagà is the most convenient base, providing direct access to the race area and the surrounding Cadí-Moixeró mountains.
Accommodation is also available around Berguedà, including nearby Guardiola de Berguedà and other mountain communities. Bagà itself has hotels and camping options for visitors.
