Skyrace Comapedrosa takes athletes into the high mountains above Arinsal in Andorra, climbing through the dramatic terrain of the Comapedrosa Natural Park.
The World Series course covered approximately 21 km with 2,300 metres of ascent, taking runners towards Comapedrosa at 2,942 metres, the highest mountain in Andorra. The combination of steep gradients, rocky trails and high-altitude terrain made it a classic skyrunning challenge.
Skyrace Comapedrosa is defined by sharp elevation gain packed into a relatively short distance. From Arinsal, runners climb towards Pic de les Fonts at 2,748 metres before facing the steep ascent towards the summit of Comapedrosa.
The higher sections feature rugged, exposed mountain terrain where confident footwork and strong climbing ability are essential. The descent back towards Arinsal is fast and technical, placing further demands on concentration and leg strength.
The combination of high altitude, steep gradients and technical Pyrenean trails gives the race a distinctly alpine character.
