Alex Oberbacher

Alex Oberbacher is an Italian trail and skyrunning athlete from Bressanone, competing for La Sportiva.

Born in 1994, Oberbacher first made his mark as a promising junior when he became the U23 Skyrunning World Combine Champion. He has since developed into one of the most consistent senior competitors on the international skyrunning circuit.

His career is built around the crossover between summer skyrunning and winter ski mountaineering. In ski mountaineering, he has recorded eight career victories and achieved strong results at events including the Pierra Menta, Patrouille des Glaciers, Adamello Ski Raid and ISMF European Championships.

Known for thriving in cold and wintry mountain conditions, Oberbacher has established himself as one of the sport’s most complete year-round athletes.
