The Grigne Skymarathon is a legendary Italian race in the Skyrunner World Series, held in the dramatic limestone landscape of the Grigne massif above Pasturo. This loop-format Skyrace® features steep, rocky climbs, exposed ridgelines and long technical descents. With 3,600 m+ of ascent over 42 km, the race is one of the most physical and technically demanding events on the calendar, offering a true alpine test for elite athletes.
The Grigne Skymarathon takes athletes deep into the rugged Grigne massif, climbing through forested lower trails before emerging onto steep, jagged limestone ridges.
The race features exposed traverses, technical boulder fields and fast, challenging descents that demand precision and mountain experience. With high-altitude scenery and constantly changing terrain, this is one of Italy’s most iconic and demanding skyrunning routes.
Pasturo is easily accessible from major airports in northern Italy, with smooth transfers into the Lecco region.
